Suzuki Book 1 Practice Boxes
When a student begins a new piece in the Suzuki literature, most teachers generally assign a section or two as a "preview spot" because it has a new trick that must be mastered to feel comfortable with the piece. I call these places "Practice Boxes" because - in addition to being important when starting a piece - honing these tricks throughly is key to establishing a strong, effective violin technique.
*Note, I did not include practice boxes for Twinkles or for "O Come, Little Children" because while I do introduce these pieces carefully, it is not via practice boxes.
